The new 2023 Triennes Rose is about as textbook an example of Provencal rose as you can find. The fact that long-time friends and Burgundy icons Jacques Seysses of Domain Dujac and Aubert de Villaine of Domaine Romanee Conti founded this winery in Provence should tell you everything you need to know about why this project is utterly fantastic! The estate is located in the heart of Provence about 18 miles from the Mediterranean and that is ground zero for world-class dry rose. This wine is one of the great values in the entire wine world as far as we are concerned. Made from mostly Cinsault with Grenache, Syrah, and Merlot rounding out the blend, this wine is completely elegant in every way with a gorgeous pale salmon color that I believe should be the official color of Summer. This wine leaps from the glass with wonderfully vibrant aromas of summer strawberry, watermelon, and spring flowers under-pinned with zippy citrus and mineral notes. Electric and mouth-watering, this is a crisp, clean, gorgeously fresh, pristine, pure, and balanced Rose that is bone dry and beautiful in every way. This is seriously delicious guys and there is that perfect kiss of salinity that makes me think of the sea.
