Summer Open House to Help Ainslee Knock Out Cancer!
The weather in San Diego is starting to warm up this week and that has got us all thinking about our next Summer Open House. This year we have an even better reason to pull the Meritage community together and pop some corks. As most of you know, our co-owner Dustin's 10-year-old daughter Ainslee has been diagnosed with Stage III Burkitt Lymphoma and has been going through treatment since April 12th. This morning we would like to invite you to our 'Summer Open House: Benefit for Ainslee's Fight with Cancer'. The open house will be here in the shop on Friday, June 21st from 5 to 8 pm and part of the proceeds from this special night are going to go to Ainslee and Dustin's family to support her fight. Mark the date on your calendar as this night is going to be special.
On June 21st, we will be pouring spectacular selections from all over the world that represent our favorite wines in all sorts of styles so there will be plenty of incredible wines to make everyone happy. We are still putting the list together but this is going to be a night to remember! Dustin is planning on being with us that night however, he and his incredible wife Katie are about to welcome another daughter in the first weeks of June so they will have their hands full indeed!! If we fill up the tasting room, I am sure he will sneak out for a glass or two!
Tickets for the Benefit for Ainslee are $75 per person and this includes wine & food for the evening. Our friends from Mooca Pizza will be here with their pizza ovens fired up and we will have a fabulous selection of pizzas, Caprese salad, and homemade cannoli to make the night even more special. All of the wines will have special pricing for this evening only so this is going to be a fabulous night to taste some stellar selections and take them home for the season.
The outpouring of support from the Meritage community for Ainslee, Dustin, and their entire family has been truly amazing and we could not be more grateful. There is no doubt, we have the best customers in the world! Meritage will be donating a portion of the proceeds from our wine sales at the Summer Open House to support Ainslee and her family on the long road ahead so this is the perfect time to enjoy an amazing evening of great wine, food, and friends. Come out and let's share a glass and stock up on all the stellar wines you want for the summer!!! I can't think of a better reason to fill those wine cellars!!

Cristina and I are hard at work putting together a killer lineup of wines to knock everyone's socks off and we will send out the tasting lineup in the coming days when everything is finalized.
